Ho....Ho.....Ho..... Getting ready for Christmas sure is a lot of fun. It can be exhausting too, with all the unpacking of decorations, deciding where they are all going to go in the house, and displaying them. We put up the tree last night, and today I spent all day decorating the house with my Christmas village, and all the other nick nacks to put on display.
I love to see them all up, and the house looking so festive!! OK Santa, now you can come!

ONLINE CROPPING

Well...... I tried my hand at online scrapbooking last weekend. It was a lot of fun entering the challenges, and trying to win some prizes. I still don't know if I did, but I overcame some intimidations by posting my pictures, and accessing the forums.
Now I know why people get hooked on this. It is very creative and fun!

Drove to Southaven MS to visit with Kayla this past weekend. We had such a great time.
We relaxed in the hotel room, watched stupid old movies on TV, made halloween cards,
ate out, and shopped till we dropped. We also visited the Memphis Zoo on Saturday, which was a lot of fun because the animals were all out in the cooler weather.
It was nice just spending time with her one-on-one, and being together.
The drive was tough on the way there, because I drove straight from work Friday morning, and had to stop along the way to sleep 2 hours in a rest area.
But I made it ..... Yeah!!! and all was good!

Traveling to see Kayla

Heading to Hernando Mississippi this weekend to see my daughter Kayla.
I miss her so much......... and look forward to spending some time with her,
just talking and hanging out. I am driving there right after I get off work
Friday morning,....... so I will be super tired.
I am going to have to stop at rest area and catch a few zzzzzzzzzz !

Anniversary weekend

October 16-2008
Aaron picked me up from work this morning and drove us to Natchez Trace State Park, which is just past the Tennessee River on the way to Memphis. We had booked a cabin for 3 nights. It was raining that day, so after sleeping for 6 hours I was up and ready to enjoy our anniversary.
Aaron fixed dinner that night, and served me like a queen. He prepared T-bones on the grill, and crab legs. So yummy. We sat in front of the gas log fireplace and talked for hours.
The weekend was very rest full, and relaxing. Without TV or telephone for distractions, we enjoyed long walks and campfires outside at night. I even tried my hand at shooting our revolver and rifle at the shooting range, which was a new one for me, but as it turned out I was really accurate and on target. I even shot a bulls eye! Just call me Julie Okley!

First Day In

Hey what do you know............I have my first blog!!
I am looking forward to a wonderful weekend, getting some time off, and much needed rest.
It has been a long week for me, picking up and extra shift at work and holding down the fort at home with hubby out of town.
I am going to try my hand at some layout challenges. Also a new one for me!
Life is all about learning something new everyday right?
